The Pheonix rises

At the end of January we saw for the first time a Churchward County 4-4-0 in its initial stages of build when the construction of 3840 reached a milestone in construction at Tyesley Locomotive Works with the main elements of the superstructure displayed for the first time. As part of the occasion the opportunity was taken for the unveiling of the name and numberplates on the loco by John Buxton who had sponsored the plates.
