Driving and Pony Wheel tyres and axles on order

The tyre and axle material for the driving wheels and pony wheels have been ordered from South Africa and should be arriving in the UK imminently. The original plans for the assembly of the driving wheels and tyres have had to be revised and we have agreed with CMS Cepcor for them to do the majority of the work. The only part they will not be able to do is to press the driving wheels on the axles, due to the size of them, however we should be able to get this part of the work done elsewhere. There are various appeals on the Support us page to raise funds for the axle, tyres and cranks so with this work being imminent funds to complete these appeals would be gratefully received. Subject to funds being available we could have all this work completed by the end of 2025 with the potential wheeling of the frames in 2026. We have still a long way to go to meet the target to get this work done but we have enough raised to to buy the material which is around a third of the total cost.
