3840’s frames go upright AT TYSELEY

December has seen more progress made on the construction of No. 3840 at Tyseley Locomotive Works. Following the fitting of the horn blocks the frame plates have been placed upright on stands ready for the new stretchers to be fitted. The platework for the dragbox is also on site ready for assembly.

The following photos show some of the work that has been carried out in the past week.
