New appeal launched to wheel 3840

The Driving Wheel Tyres Fund, Driving Crank Fund, Bogie Wheel Fund and Inch for an Axle appeals have been bubbling along in the background for a while raising funds towards the wheeling of 3840 but with the need to ramp up the funds as we move to the next stage of the build, we have decided to replace these individual funds with one fund to cover the Wheeling of 3840. The details are on the Support us page but it will be an appeal, like the Front End appeal, where there is no limit on the amount donated, large or small. The main difference to spur the appeal on is that, until the end of September, one of our donors has agreed to match fund any donation to the fund up to £15,000 so if we raise £15,000 between now and September they will match fund it so we have £30,000. That will leave £10,000 still to raise to complete the appeal. If we can get to this target by the end of the year we should be in a good position to have a rolling chassis by the beginning of 2027.
